All of our books are donated. The books are curated and then resold in our brick-and-mortar store or online. The store is a unique way to support literacy. It helps fund our programs year-round — and families can take home five free children's books every time they visit.

Book Donations FAQ
What type of books do you accept?
We accept books from all genres 10 years old or newer (fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, Westerns, Romance, hardcover, paperback, and large print). Religious books 5 years or newer.
What books do you not accept?
We regret to inform you that we do not accept the following items: dictionaries, encyclopedias, reference sets, Readers Digest publications, textbooks, former library books, audiobooks, movies, music, or books left over from previous sales. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.

Why can't you accept ALL of the books?
We understand that it can be frustrating for you to bring in your donations, only to discover that we cannot accept the items. If an item is damaged or we can't sell it, we have to spend money to dispose of it. Money that otherwise could have been used to support literacy programming. Please consider this when choosing items to donate.

What condition should the books be in?
Books should be in good condition, preferably from a smoke-free household.

When can I donate books?
Donations can be made any time the store is open. If you are donating more than 500 books, please call and give us a heads up!
