Workplace Literacy

Reach's Workplace Literacy classes are hosted for small groups of students at their place of employment. Holding classes during the workday eliminates many barriers to participation, fosters an environment of support, and conveys to employees that their employer is a partner in their success.

This program focuses on improving basic communication skills and computer literacy. Classes and schedules are tailored to business and student needs. We would love to meet with your team to design a program to help your employees thrive.

Reach is proud to collaborate with many local organizations to provide Workplace Literacy programs. Our partners include Avera McKennan Hospital, Sanford USD Medical Center, and BX Civil Construction.

What our partners are saying...

"Advancing Health Equity is a mission priority for Avera, and that mission includes supporting our LEP (limited English proficiency) colleagues who wish to strengthen their English literacy skills. It’s been exciting to watch our student colleagues who participate in our onsite Reach Literacy program progress in confidence and ability, and hear the positive comments from their leaders regarding the improvement in communication. We know that as our colleagues’ literacy skills improve, so does their ability to better navigate important areas like health care, finances, community engagement, and family life, while opening more doors for career advancement.  We’re grateful for our partnership with Reach Literacy and are proud supporters of this valuable community resource!"
